Climate change impacts on schools research

Summary of research

Increasing temperatures are a major impact on schools, as it limits outdoor education and affects the wellbeing of both students and teachers. This research was published by the NSW Government, University of Western Sydney and Macquarie University in 2020. It provides information on how school microclimates are likely to be impacted by climate change, and how these impacts can be managed. This information can be used by schools and planners to update and create school environments that reduce the impacts of climate change.
