Who we are and what we do

The AdaptNSW website has been produced by the NSW Government to inform and empower communities, businesses, households and government to adapt to climate change.

Action by all sectors of society on climate change continues to grow as the effects and risks are becoming more evident, and we are confronted with more extreme weather events.

The AdaptNSW website is a source you can trust, that provides relevant, localised information to keep you informed and help you adapt to climate change.

What do we hope to achieve?

Our purpose is to help NSW take action and adapt to climate change, to build a more resilient and low emissions future for this generation and the next.

We will do this by:

  1. Providing relevant and credible information on climate change.
  2. Providing practical actions to help individuals and different sectors of society adapt to the impacts of climate change.
  3. Giving the people of NSW the tools to access localised climate change and hazard information.
  4. Providing case studies of adaptation that inspire action.
